Exam Countdown Timer — NDA, UPSC, SSC, BCS Days Left
How many days are left for your exam? This exam countdown timer ticks live — days, hours, minutes and seconds — for NDA (I) 2027, NDA (II) 2027, CDS, UPSC CSE Prelims and Mains, plus any custom date for SSC, BCS or your own exam. Dates follow the official UPSC Annual Calendar 2027. Everything runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded or stored.
⏳ Exam Countdown Timer
Live days left for NDA, UPSC, CDS — or any exam you pick.
The timer counts to 9:00 AM on your device's clock on exam day. UPSC exams run on IST — if you are outside India, the exact hour may differ by your timezone offset, but the day count stays right. UPSC can revise dates; always verify against the official notification before travelling.
UPSC 2027 calendar: the dates in this timer
UPSC publishes its annual calendar roughly a year ahead — the 2027 calendar was released on 20 May 2026 — which makes it the only major recruiting body you can plan around with confidence. Every preset in the timer above comes from that calendar, cross-checked across multiple independent reports of it:
- NDA & NA (I) 2027 — Sunday, 11 April 2027. Notification 2 December 2026, last date to apply 22 December 2026.
- CDS (I) 2027 — Sunday, 11 April 2027. Same notification window as NDA (I).
- Civil Services (Prelims) 2027 — Sunday, 23 May 2027. Notification 13 January 2027, last date 2 February 2027. The Indian Forest Service prelims run through the same paper.
- Civil Services (Mains) 2027 — from Friday, 20 August 2027, five days.
- NDA & NA (II) 2027 — Sunday, 19 September 2027. Notification 12 May 2027, last date 1 June 2027.
- CDS (II) 2027 — Sunday, 19 September 2027. Same notification window as NDA (II).
The timer picks the nearest upcoming exam automatically when you open the page, so you always land on the count that matters right now. When a date passes, it says so plainly and invites you to pick the next cycle — it never silently counts up from a stale date, the exact failure that makes most countdown pages on the web untrustworthy.
NDA vs CDS: same day, different exam
NDA & NA and CDS share exam dates in both cycles, which confuses aspirants every year. NDA is the entry route after school (10+2) into the Army, Navy and Air Force academies, with an age window of 16.5 to 19.5 years. CDS is the graduate route into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. Same calendar day, different eligibility, different papers — pick the preset that matches your own exam, not just the date. To check whether you are age-eligible for NDA, use our Age Calculator, which covers NDA, UPSC, SSC, IBPS and BCS brackets on any cut-off date.
SSC and BCS: why they are custom dates here
SSC announces its dates per cycle rather than in a fixed annual calendar, and revises them — the CGL 2026 Tier-I window ran 30 September to 30 October 2026, with Tier-II following in December 2026. A hard-coded SSC date would go stale without warning, so SSC aspirants should paste the date from the latest SSC notice into the custom-date box.
BCS works the same way: the 47th BCS cycle is complete (prelims 19 September 2025, written November–December 2025, final results published in 2026), and the next circular's dates are announced by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission per cycle. When the new circular drops, paste its preliminary date into the custom box. The same applies to IBPS and any state exam: if it has a date, this timer counts to it.
How to use a countdown for preparation
A countdown is only useful if it changes what you do this week. The planning method that works: divide the days left into three blocks. The first block (until roughly 60 days out) is syllabus completion — new topics only here. The middle block is mock tests under exam conditions, one full paper at a time, with the timer itself as your practice clock. The last block (final 2–3 weeks) is revision only: no new material, just notes, formulas and previous-year questions. When the timer crosses 100 days, 50 days and 30 days, treat each crossing as a review point: re-plan the remaining block, don't just watch the number fall.
Pair the countdown with the rest of the student toolkit: the CGPA Calculator for tracking the degree result that most applications also ask for, and the Age Calculator for the eligibility check that decides whether you can even apply this cycle.
How the countdown is calculated
The timer counts down to 9:00 AM on exam day on your device's clock and refreshes every second. The day figure is the number of whole calendar days remaining until exam morning. If you open it on exam day before 9:00 AM, it shows the remaining hours; on exam day after the start, it wishes you luck; after the date, it says the date has passed. Your device's clock is the only input — the page makes no network requests for the time, and no date you enter is sent anywhere.

Methodology and freshness: preset dates follow the UPSC Annual Calendar 2027 (released 20 May 2026), cross-checked across multiple independent reports on 28 October 2026. UPSC, SSC and BPSC can revise dates — always verify against the official notification. This page's presets must be rolled to the next cycle when a date passes (yearly refresh discipline). This timer runs entirely in your browser and is not affiliated with UPSC, SSC or BPSC.
